Hi my name is Tex and I am 18mths old.
With a lot of consideration by a trainer and head of the rescue and talking to my family, everyone has determined that I have developed some fear based issues that have overall come from the environment I’m in. This is not to say my home hasn’t been loving and I have been very well cared for but I need someone that understands my anxiety and I need to learn how to dog and not have the pressure that I have put on myself to feel like I need to protect my family and property.
I need to be very transparent with you, I have ‘nipped’ strangers and random people that have come on my property and the last straw I nipped a kid that put his arm through my gate.
I’ve had a couple of experienced dog people come to meet me and they both believe that I can be rehabilitated quite easily with the right people.
The best home for me is a place that is quiet. I am apart of the family inside and out. No children.
Another confident, calm dog that could help and teach me how to dog.
And strong, loving, understanding people that understands cocker spaniels.
I need to be exercised and stimulated to get my nervous system in check.
Been only 18 months old I’m still a bubba who just needs guidance.
I am on the Gold Coast.
